About

Hi there everyone! A little about me. I have been a Veterinary technician since the 70’s, but I was licensed in Oregon then California later on.

I worked for James H. Van Gerpen here in Sonora for 17 yrs then for Tomi Sue Henderson when she bought the practice in 1995. I lost my career overnight due to a long standing work injury that unraveled my spine in 2000.

I am now teaching working Vet Techs who are working toward their 300 hours of education to sit for the VTNE (Veternary Techician National Exam) and the California VT state exam. I love every minute of it.

I also answered questions on AllExperts.com for ten years and really enjoy that so I thought I would open that up to others.

I love animals and have been very close to our brethren of the earth since I was born. I truly feel I was born to work with animals and help them heal. I feel a great stewardship to all animals and am first and foremost an animal and pet advocate. What the means is that I do what is right for the pet, not the owner. It is a fine line to tread on and all vet techs are sworn to do this.

This website is exactly for that- to educate the Pet Owner to be the BEST Pet Owner they can be. You can also find me on facebook at VetTechsforClientEducation.

I also do animal portraits, artwork of all kinds and have many other hobbies. Some of those are hockey, fine dining, wine tasting, walking with my dog and fly fishing. I have two grown kids that are doing great.

I also own Indigo Moon Arts here in Sonora, which is a small web design business. You can find my site at www.indigomoonarts.com

Welcome to my blog!

Yahoo answers is filled with amateurs that answer questions. An answer from a professional has little weight. I answer questions at AllExperts.com under the Ask the Veterinarian category. They screen your credentials and thus the caliper of answers are much higher.
I have answered many questions on Yahoo Answers but have stopped.

You should consider answering questions on Yahoo Answers (answers.yahoo.com) I’m sure there are plenty of people out there that would benefit from your help.
